As followers of Jesus, we are called to be 'Set Apart' from the ways of the world, pursuing holiness as we live by HIS grace, for HIS glory, and in HIS power to bring about HIS Kingdom in and through HIS people. We are “Set Apart” for a purpose, to intentionally live lives of obedient faith and holiness “for the sake of HIS name among all the nations.”

Religious activity and moralistic behavior are not enough to avoid God's right judgment.

Discussion Questions -

1. Generally speaking, how do you respond to the sin of others around you? Is that response the same or different than how you respond to your own sin? In what ways?

2. In what ways are you relying on your own effort, religion, and/or morality?

3. Why do you think we often depend on religion and religious obedience to earn favor or righteousness?

4. Do you believe that God's judgment is right/righteous? Why or why not?

5. How does God's kindness lead us to repentance?

6. In what ways do we as Christians blaspheme the name of God among non-Christians?

7. How do we avoid the tendency for symbols, rituals and behavior to become merely religious activity?
