There is much discussion in our society about what Jesus said or didn't say as well as what He meant by what He said or didn't say. So how do we know who is right? We go straight to the source, HIS WORD! Journey with us in 2023 as we explore what Jesus said on a variety of topics and let's dig in together as we seek to understand, apply and live out all that "JESUS SAID".
We as people have defined blessing as things going our way or getting what we want. In the Sermon on the Mount JESUS defines blessing as life going the way HE wants it to go. JESUS is the master teacher. HE calls HIS disciples to HIM by teaching them. What does HE teach them? HE teaches what it means and looks like to be truly blessed.
JESUS said we are blessed when we are poor in spirit, mourn sin and its effects, are meek, hunger and thirst for HIS righteousness, are merciful, are pure in heart, are peacemakers, are persecuted for righteousness' sake for our reward is great in Heaven! Let's take JESUS at HIS word and make HIS kingdom known by joyful obedience to HIS rule and reign!
