This sermon was preached at Crosswater Community Church in Sultan, WA on 12/1/24
This Christmas season we look at 1 John as we reflect on the coming of Jesus, the Light of the World, who transforms every aspect of our lives. We begin by recognizing that God is light, calling us to walk in His truth. As we abide in Him, we live as children of God, experiencing His perfect love and overcoming the darkness of the world through faith in Christ. In turn, we are called to share His light, love, and victory with others, spreading the hope and joy of His coming.
"GOD is light and in HIM is no darkness at all" - 1 John 1:5 JESUS came into this world to bring this light and life to those trapped in darkness and death. HIS people are saved by HIM and are called to live by HIS light and make HIM known to the world.
