Thanks for joining us today!

As followers of Jesus, we are called to be 'Set Apart' from the ways of the world, pursuing holiness as we live by HIS grace, for HIS glory, and in HIS power to bring about HIS Kingdom in and through HIS people. We are “Set Apart” for a purpose, to intentionally live lives of obedient faith and holiness “for the sake of HIS name among all the nations.”

Since we couldn't keep the law and be holy on our own, JESUS needed to do it for us and HE did! Now, by dying to the law we are raised to a new marriage, a new way and a new life in JESUS!

Discussion Questions -

What is legalism? Why is it so easy to give into for CHRIST followers? Why is it so destructive?
Please re-read Romans 7:1-4

In what ways does this illustration of marriage help you understand your relationship with JESUS and the law?

What does it mean to be dead "to the law through the body of CHRIST...in order that we may bear fruit for GOD"?

Please re-read Romans 7:5-6

What is the difference between bearing fruit for GOD(v.4) and bearing fruit for death(v.5)?

What does it mean to serve "in the new way of the SPIRIT"? How is this different from the "old way of the written code"?

Please pray for wisdom, sensitivity, compassion and boldness to understand and live out the freedom of the "New way of the SPIRIT" we have in JESUS.
