There is much discussion in our society about what Jesus said or didn't say as well as what He meant by what He said or didn't say. So how do we know who is right? We go straight to the source, HIS WORD! Journey with us in 2023 as we explore what Jesus said on a variety of topics and let's dig in together as we seek to understand, apply and live out all that "JESUS SAID".
If we were to ask non-believers to describe Christians, it is unlikely that “joy-filled” would be one of the top answers given. With so much to be grateful for and excited about as Christ-followers, why is joy so elusive? Over the course of three weeks, we will look at what Jesus said about joy, specifically looking at; the source of joy, the cost of joy, and the expression of joy. All of which aim to help us experience the fullness of joy that comes from following Jesus and live it out.
JESUS prayed that HIS joy would be "fulfilled" in HIS followers. The challenge is, oftentimes, we who follow HIM struggle to live out this joy. Through recognizing, trusting, and following JESUS as the unlimited and undefeatable source of joy itself we not only live more joyfully but we bring joy to HIM as well, JESUS said so.
