SERIES SUMMARY

The Psalms tell the story of a people learning to live with God. In moments of worship and wandering, joy and repentance, trust and testimony, they reveal how God patiently shapes the hearts of those who belong to Him. Becoming His: Formed By God traces that journey through the five books of Psalms, showing how life in God’s presence transforms ordinary people into a people marked by discipleship, grace, humility, mission, and authentic community. As these songs formed the people of God throughout generations, they continue to form us today—teaching us not only how to worship God, but how to become His. 

SERMON SUMMARY

As we wrap our series on Becoming His we look at Psalm 107 as we see how God helps the Desert Wanderers, the Darkness Sitters, the Sinful Fools, and The Storm-Tossed on their distress and reflect on His steadfast love to them as well as to us. We are challenged to know and consider the steadfast love of the Lord so we can better know others and be known by others as we share our reversal stories of God's faithfulness in our lives.
