Jesus told His disciples “it is to your advantage that I go away…” because doing so allowed for the coming of the Holy Spirit. We are not to merely exist as passive believers waiting for the return of Jesus. Instead, as Christ-followers we are “Empowered” by the Spirit, enabling us to live a life characterized by boldness, unity, and unwavering faith in order to bring the transformative love and life of Jesus Christ to the world around us.
JESUS told HIS disciples to wait for the promised HOLY SPIRIT "power from on high". As they prayed and waited GOD's SPIRIT came upon them and they proclaimed HIS good news in languages they didn't speak and then Peter preached a message of grace and truth with power. We are part of the fruit of this outpouring of power. Let's keep it going in JESUS name!
