Jesus told His disciples “it is to your advantage that I go away…” because doing so allowed for the coming of the Holy Spirit. We are not to merely exist as passive believers waiting for the return of Jesus. Instead, as Christ-followers we are “Empowered” by the Spirit, enabling us to live a life characterized by boldness, unity, and unwavering faith in order to bring the transformative love and life of Jesus Christ to the world around us.
The HOLY SPIRIT empowers us to give to people what we can't give on our own: JESUS! Everyone desperately needs HIM and some want HIM and some don't. By GOD's great power and great grace "Give 'um JESUS!"
