Jesus told His disciples “it is to your advantage that I go away…” because doing so allowed for the coming of the Holy Spirit. We are not to merely exist as passive believers waiting for the return of Jesus. Instead, as Christ-followers we are “Empowered” by the Spirit, enabling us to live a life characterized by boldness, unity, and unwavering faith in order to bring the transformative love and life of Jesus Christ to the world around us.
Following JESUS really isn't overly complicated. HE is the LORD. Following HIM is a matter of HIS grace through HIS HOLY SPIRIT, obeying HIS teaching, fellowship and making much of HIM in all of this. We are Empowered to do so and in doing so HIS family grows!
